Eyemox Eye Drops 0.5% – Broad-Spectrum Antibiotic Therapy (Vega Pharmaceuticals)

Eyemox Eye Drops contain Moxifloxacin 0.5%, a powerful fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic used for the treatment of various bacterial eye infections. Manufactured by Vega Pharmaceuticals, Eyemox offers rapid, targeted antibacterial action with excellent ocular penetration.

What Eyemox Contains

Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride – 5 mg (0.5%)

A broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic effective against:

  • Gram-positive bacteria
  • Gram-negative bacteria
  • Atypical organisms

Moxifloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial replication.

Indications – What Eyemox Treats

Eyemox Eye Drops are prescribed for:

  • Acute bacterial conjunctivitis
  • Blepharitis with bacterial involvement
  • Keratitis (bacterial)
  • Post-operative infection prevention
  • Corneal ulcers (as part of intensive therapy)
  • Eye redness, discharge, or pain due to bacterial causes

How Moxifloxacin Works

Moxifloxacin kills bacteria by:

  • Preventing DNA replication
  • Blocking bacterial repair mechanisms
  • Rapidly reducing bacterial load

Because it is bactericidal and highly potent, it works quickly and covers resistant strains.
